blackberry phone banned

it seems blackberry phone services will be banned in two middle eastern countries. the services included email, internet & facebook. I am not sure how such services threaten national security? peoples appreciated first iphones and then android coz they could use their phones much more than to just make calls. if such services will be banned over blackberry smart phone it will be useless.
